dotTrace Performance enables you to specify whether or not to display function calls that consume 0% of root time.
To hide such functions, choose
View | Show Calls Consuming 0% on the menu bar or
click Show Calls Consuming 0% 
on the toolbar.
It also helps clarify the tree and makes it easier to analyze.
