Inspectopedia 2026.2 Help

Slice search loop can be replaced with 'slices.Contains'

Reports loops that check whether a slice contains a value by comparing each element with ==.

For comparable element types, slices.Contains performs the same check in one call.

Example:

func HasInt(xs []int, target int) bool { for _, x := range xs { if x == target { return true } } return false }

To fix the code, use the Replace loop by call to slices.Contains quick-fix.

After the quick-fix is applied:

func HasInt(xs []int, target int) bool { return slices.Contains(xs, target) }
