Change Issue Status

Each issue has a status indicating what stage it's currently at. There are four predefined statuses that describe basic stages:

  • Open: the work on the issue hasn't started.

  • In progress: the assignee is working on resolving the issue.

  • Done: the issue has been resolved.

  • Backlog: the issue is of low priority and can be set aside.

  • The status is usually changed by the assignee to update other members on the progress.

  • Issue participants and subscribers are notified of any status change.

  • The history of updates is recorded in the issue Timeline.

Set the issue status

  1. Click the issue to show its Details panel or open it.

  2. Open the Status menu and choose the correct status:

Resolve an issue

Resolving an issue is the same as changing its status to Done.

  1. Click the issue to show its Details panel or open it.

  2. Click the Resolve button.

Reopen an issue

You can reopen a previously resolved issue to indicate that some additional work is required to actually solve it. Reopening an issue changes its status to Open.

  1. Click the issue to show its Details panel or open it.

  2. Click the Reopen button.
