Options - Braces Layout

After you select Code Style | Braces Layout in the left pane of the ReSharper Options dialog, it looks as follows:

You have the possibility to alter the way ReSharper automatically positions braces. The settings also affect the way ReSharper reformats your code; in particular, there are several ways to force ReSharper to enclose single operators in braces (for example, after if or for operators).

  1. Choose a code style feature you would to adjust. A preview appears in the bottom pane featuring a typical code example using this code style feature.
  2. Select different options to see the impact they have on the code example.
  3. Don't forget to click OK to save your changes.
