A solution is not limited to sources included in your projects, but also contains references to libraries that are used in your solution. It is very convenient to have access and opportunity to navigate to source code of those libraries as if they were a part of your solution.
The first time you navigate to code symbol that is not a part of your solution, ReSharper offers you to choose how you would
like to access external sources by default. You can navigate to: Object Browser, Metadata View or downloaded library code directly.
