Address can be built with 'net.JoinHostPort'

Reports addresses built with fmt.Sprintf("%s:%d", host, port) or fmt.Sprintf("%s:%s", host, port).

This pattern breaks for IPv6 hosts because IPv6 addresses must be wrapped in brackets, like [host]:port. net.JoinHostPort formats the address correctly for both IPv4 and IPv6.

Example:

addr := fmt.Sprintf("%s:%d", host, port)
return net.Dial("tcp", addr)

To fix the code, use the Replace with net.JoinHostPort quick-fix.

After the quick-fix is applied:

addr := net.JoinHostPort(host, fmt.Sprintf("%d", port))
return net.Dial("tcp", addr)
