Inspectopedia 2026.2 Help

'sort.Slice' can be replaced with 'slices.Sort'

Reports calls to sort.Slice where the comparison function only compares elements with the < operator.

In these cases, you can replace sort.Slice with slices.Sort, which sorts the slice directly and removes the index-based comparison function.

Example:

func SortInts(xs []int) { sort.Slice(xs, func(i, j int) bool { return xs[i] < xs[j] }) }

To fix the code, use the Replace sort.Slice call by slices.Sort quick-fix.

After the quick-fix is applied:

func SortInts(xs []int) { slices.Sort(xs) }

If the comparison function implements custom ordering, use slices.SortFunc instead.
