About teams

Teams are subdivisions of licenses within your organization. With the Manage licensing and billing or Manage organization permission, you can create teams to manage different parts of your organization separately.

Teams can also be created automatically when you purchase certain subscriptions for your organization, for example, TeamCity Server, or when you purchase through a Sales representative.

You can assign different sets of licenses to different teams and invite team admins to delegate the management of the team’s licenses to them.

Additionally, if your role has the Manage organization permission, you can:

• Merge teams

• Transfer licenses between teams

• Allow teams to access JetBrains AI tools and features

• Manage all teams and licenses in your organization
