Users

Before you can give users access to company resources, you must first add them to your organization. Every user in JetBrains Console must have a JetBrains Account. If they don't have one yet, they'll be prompted to create it during the invitation process.

Add users

  1. In the sidebar, under User management, select Users.

  2. In the top-right corner, click Add user.

  3. In the dialog, enter the user's Full name and Email. If the user already has a JetBrains Account and wants to use it to access company resources, the email address must match the one in their JetBrains Account.

  4. Click Add user. The user will appear in the list in the Pending state but won't receive an invitation email yet.

  5. Assign a role or a product license to the pending user depending on what you want them to access.

  6. When the user receives the email, they follow the link to log in or sign up using their JetBrains Account. The account is then linked to the user, and the user's state changes to active.

Remove users

When you remove a user:

  • The user loses access to all resources assigned through the organization, like product licenses or AI quotas.

  • Their JetBrains Account remains intact and can still be used with personal licenses or to join other organizations in JetBrains Console.

  1. In the sidebar, under User management, select Users.

  2. To remove a single user:

    1. Click the ... menu next to their name.

    2. Select Remove from organization.

    To remove multiple users:

    1. Select checkboxes next to the users you want to remove.

    2. Click Remove from organization in the footer.

    You can also remove a user from their account page:

    1. Open the user's profile.

    2. Go to the Account details tab.

    3. Click Remove from organization.

  3. Confirm the removal.

Browse and search users

  1. In the sidebar, under User management, select Users.

  2. Use the search field to filter users by name or email. The table updates as you type.

  3. To view more information about a user, click their name in the list.

Edit user details

  1. In the sidebar, under User management, select Users.

  2. Click the name of the user you want to edit and go to the Account details tab.

  3. Update the user's details.
