JetBrains Air Teams Help

Ways to reach Air Teams

JetBrains Air Teams runs in the cloud, so where you start a task is up to you. The browser is the full surface; the other two reach into the same tasks from wherever you already work.

The browser

Open https://air.jetbrains.cloud and sign in with your JetBrains Account. This is the primary surface and the only one that has everything: tasks, automations, projects, environment configurations, connectors, and repository settings.

You meet it as two things. The new task page is an ordinary web page where you pick what to run; opening a running task loads the JetBrains Air Teams editor into the page, with the conversation, the diff, and the project files behind it. Nothing is installed, and the task keeps running after you close the tab. See Work with a task in the browser.

JetBrains IDEs

In an IntelliJ-based IDE, JetBrains Air in IDEs can start a task that runs in a cloud environment while you keep working in the IDE. Use it when the context you need is the project you already have open.

You select the branch and the model in the IDE, and you follow the run in the browser or in the Air app. Automations, projects, and environment configurations aren't managed from the IDE.

See Run cloud tasks from IntelliJ-based IDEs, and AI Assistant for the IDE side.

The Air app

The Air app is the standalone desktop client. Its own strength is local work: it runs tasks against the project on your machine, in a Git worktree, or in a Docker container, where an agent can use your local tools and your own AI provider account.

It also starts and opens JetBrains Air Teams tasks, so you can run in the cloud and review locally. Organization settings – projects, automations, repository access – stay in the browser.

See Set up Air app.
