Chat
Use Chat to create and continue tasks in JetBrains Air. This tool is always available in the workspace. You can describe your goal, add context, and send follow-up messages to refine the result.
Work with tasks in Chat
This is a generalized procedure for running tasks. For more information, refer to Run tasks.
In Chat, enter a short task description.
If needed, select where the task runs. In the task header, click the environment name and select an option, such as Local Workspace, Git Worktree, Docker, or Cloud.
Add project context when the task needs specific details. Click Add context and select the items you want to attach.
Click Send.
Use follow-up messages to refine the result and continue the task workflow.
Chat controls
Use the Chat toolbar to control how you send and refine a task.
Add context adds project items to the task input.
Model selects the model used for the current task.
Thinking Level adjusts the reasoning depth for the current task.
Send starts the task or sends a follow-up message.
